Obituary

Virginia E. Oyler, age 85, formerly of Canton and recently of Winston-Salem, NC died Friday morning March 30, 2007 in Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Born in Canton to the late Murd and Sylvia (Marti) Riggs she was a 1939 graduate of McKinley High School. Virginia was a member of Westminster Community Presbyterian Church, former member of Order of Eastern Star, and had volunteered in the admitting office of Aultman Hospital for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Wendell Oyler in 1998 her brother Raymond Riggs, and a brother-in-law Clem Beiter. Survivors include a daughter: Mrs. Jack (Bonnie) Rice of Winston-Salem, NC. Two sons: David A. Oyler, of Branson, MO and Richard W. Oyler of West Lebanon, OH. Nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren. Sister: Vera Beiter of Canton and a sister-in-law: Vivian Riggs of Florida. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. April 5, 2007 in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Avenue N.W. with Rev. William R. Pawson officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 6 to 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Westminster Community Church 171 Aultman Ave., N.W. Canton, OH 44708.
