Virginia G. Hesslink, age 88, passed away Sunday, March 14th. She is survived by her loving husband Eugene "Gene" with whom she was married for over 63 years. Also surviving is her daughter Charlene (Niel), granddaughters Christina (Mike), and Brenda (Donald). There are four great grandchildren, Nicholas, Kaitlyn, Owen, and Jenn. There are numerous nieces and nephews, and a number of dear friends, and her favorite dogs Abbe and Winston. Preceded in death by her parents: Sam and Edith (Minich) Saylor, two brothers and two sisters. Virginia was retired form the Canton City Schools, was a member of First Church of the Resurrection, and a 61 year member of Canton 190 and DeSoto 201 (Riverview Florida) Chapters O.E.S. She was also a member of LOS (Lady Shriners) in Riverview, FL. Friends may call on Thursday from 5:30 to 6:30 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. where a memorial service will follow with Rev. Dr. Bruce Mont officiating. A private interment will take place for the family. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Egypt Temple Transportation Fund 4050 Dana Shores Dr. Tampa, FL 33634-7499. Virginia was a sweet, gentile lady who lived her life in the spirit of God and will be missed by all who had the honor of knowing her. Rest in peace-we love you very much.
