Virgil Bolovan age 83 died Thursday afternoon in Aultman Hospital after an extended illness. After graduating at McKinley High School, Virgil proudly served in the United States Marines Corps, stationed in the Philipines in WWII as a staff Sergeant Radio Radar Gunner on a B52. Survivors Include his wife Alva-Ree, Daughter: Fonda (John) Elliot of Charleston, WV, son: John Michael (Susana) Bolovan, 5 grandchildren: Gregory (Jennifer) Elliot, Andrew (Shannon) Elliot, Matthew, Daniel and Victoria Bolovan, 3 great-grandchildren: Andrew, Quinton and Elizabeth Elliot. Virgil was preceded in death by 2 brothers: John and Michael Bolovan. Services will be at Faith United Methodist Church, 300 9th St NW, North Canton on Tuesday at 11am. Friends may call Monday 6-8pm at the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home, 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW and 1 hour prior to the church service.
