Violet Eloise Bender, age 86, of Canton, was called home to rest November 21, 2010. Violet is survived by her children; Gary Bender and Marsha Doyle. 7 grandchildren and 17 plus great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Wilbert Daniel Bender and great-grandson Justin Luke. A graveside service will be Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Friends may call on Wednesday from 12 noon to 1p.m. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Homes 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family.
