Viola Pia, age 92, of Hartville, passed away on Thursday October 30, 2018. She was born November 27, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York to the late Peter and Mary (Buehl) Lawrence. Sha was a homemaker and member of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed reading, cooking and her grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Albert on October 19, 2016; and son-in-law Michael Vavra. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Alan and Betty Pia; daughter Lauren Pia- Vavra; grandchildren Alexander, Michelle, Andrew (Tia) and Robert.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday 1:00 PM at St. Jacob's Cemetery with Pastor Kyle Woodrow officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jacob's Lutheran Church.
