Viola Rosemary Dixon, age 66, went to her home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 8, 2009, after a severe leg accident and surgery and other complications and her final demise at the Mercy Medical Center in Canton, Ohio. She was born November 30, 1942 in Canton, the second daughter of 12 siblings to Louis Calvin Dixon Sr. and Wilma Hazel Dixon. Viola loved the Lord and she began to serve Him at the early age of 13 years old. She always placed Him into her everyday life, and she had many friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Louis Calvin Dixon Sr., mother, Wilma Hazel Dixon, sister, Hazel Marie (Patterson) Dixon, two brothers, Malcolm Lee Dixon and John Paul Dixon and daughter, Diane Rosemary Dixon. She leaves to mourn in her passing, two sons, Winston Dixon and Leroy Oscar Dixon; daughter, Yutisa Dixon. Five brothers, Louis Calvin Dixon Jr. (Sabrina nee: Merriner), Benny Ray Dixon, Sylvester Dixon (Siverta nee: Williams), Theodore Clayton Dixon and Richard Dixon. Three sisters, Lavenia Dixon, Rosemary (Spain) Dixon and Norma (Sanders) Dixon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and friends. She leaves a special grandson, Michael "Mike" Doss, special granddaughters Dianeika Pleasant and Neia Bailey and special niece Cheryl Denise Rhodes. It is also noted that she had two special friends, Vincent Blackwell and George Rainey Washington. Special thanks to the Home Health Care persons, Debbie and Nina who persistently assisted in her time of need. Services will be held on Sunday at 4:00 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home, Canton with Dontay Dixon officiating. Friends may call two hours prior to the services from 2:00 - 4:00 PM.
