Vincent LeGrand Fildes, age 53, of Youngstown passed away unexpectedly at his residence. He was born December 31, 1968, in Canton to Duane Fildes Sr. and Shirley (Boyd). As a child Vince was enrolled in Carol Koontz majorettes and drum corps where his lifelong passion for drums began. He is a graduate of Perry High School where he was first chair drummer and a member of the Blue Coats Drum and Bugle Corps. Following high school, he entered the Navy and served in Groton, CT. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed all aspects of being outdoors. Vince had several pet cats throughout the years and his pet iguana, Louie, who was with him for over 20 years.

Vince is preceded in death by his father, Duane and brother Duane Jr. "Jay." He is survived by his mother Shirley Powell; siblings Craig (Joyce), Lisa (Michael), and Robyne (Kevin); nieces and nephews Sarah, Michael, Shawn, Michelle, Jacob, Amanda, Alisha, Cort, and Kory; several great nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a private family celebration will take place at a later date.
