Victory M. Chapman, age 92, of Canton, passed away Tuesday evening in ManorCare. Victory was a 1936 graduate of McKinley High School and a WWII veteran serving in the United States Marine Corps. He was the Chief Chemist for the Timken Company retiring after 47 years. Victory enjoyed working on the side as a wedding photographer and writing science fiction novels. He was also a pianist, artist and painter and was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by his parents Harold and Elizabeth (Heibach) Chapman. Victory is survived by his wife of 71 years, Dorothy and a son Eric (Laura) Chapman. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to the Angels of ManorCare and Heartland Hospice. Funeral Service will be Friday, 11 a.m. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW with Rev. Linda Hall officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church 2705 6th St. SW Canton, Ohio 44710.
