Vera Mae Jordan, age 86, of Hartville formerly of the Pittsburgh, PA area passed away on Sunday afternoon August 3, 2008. She was born in Smithton, PA to the late Ralph and Nellie (Bell) Sherbondy and graduated from the State Teachers College, California, PA. Vera taught for 17 years in the Pennsylvania schools. For the past 20 years she has resided in Lake Township and has been a member of St. Jacob's Lutheran Church. Preceded in death by brother Robert; she is survived by her husband of 64 years, James; daughter Kathleen Brown; grandchildren Sara and Victor Flores Soler and James and Rhia Brown; great-granddaughter Elizabeth Flores Soler.
