Velma Keener, age 91 of Alliance formerly of Minerva died Tuesday, December 18th after an extended illness. Velma was a member of The Eastern Star. Preceded in death by her husband Harry J. Keener, sons John and Harry T. Keener and brother Vern Leister. Survivors include 3 grandchildren: Darin Keener(Kathy), Dana Brahler (Brad), Lynne McAbier (John), 7 great-grandchildren, Daughter-n-law Dee Keener and Sister-n-law Garnet Richi (Lou). A private family service will be held in the Chapel at Highland Memorial Park.
