Veechel Day, age 93, formerly of Canton, passed away Sunday morning, June 15, 2014 in Hanover House in Massillon where she has resided for the past thirteen years. She was born on February 13, 1921 in Tennessee. Veechel married Allen N. Day on August 28, 1962 at Canton First E.U.B. Church and he died on December 27, 1973 She is survived by step daughter Jennie Day of Ann Arbor, MI; step son Daniel Day of Phoenix, AZ; close friends including guardian Lori Harris of Massillon Calling hours are Thursday from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton and services will begin at 12:00 Noon. Burial immediately follows in South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton, Ohio.
