Una E. Davidson, age 83 of Brooklyn, New York, passed away on Wednesday October 22, 2014 while visiting family in Ohio with family members by her side. She was born November 6, 1930 in Kingston, Jamaica to the late Joseph and Viola(Campbell) Ennevor. Growing up in Jamaica, Una met and married Phillip Davidson on June 24, 1961 and had two children, a son named Donovan and a daughter Lorelei. Sponsored by friends, they moved to Brooklyn, New York. While raising a family, Una worked as a data entry coder and eventually retired from Amalgamated Bank. During her years at the bank she developed a keen sense for finances. She was also a seamstress, sewing many customized wedding dresses including her own daughter's dress. Una loved to cook West Indies Jamaican traditional meals such as Ackee and salt fish, rice and peas, Ox tails, cow foot and the famous Christmas cake. She was known as a mother to many people who crossed her path. She loved to travel and took numerous trips with friends . She especially enjoyed cruises. She was active in her local senior center and participated in all activities. Her favorites were dancing, particularly line dancing and country music and she also enjoyed going to casinos. Survived by Her husband Phillip Charles of fifty-three years, son and daughter in law Donovan and Tracy Davidson of Canton, Ohio; daughter Lorelei Davidson of New Rochelle, New York; grandchildren Sean Davidson of the Republic of Panama, Daniel and Joan Davidson of Canton, Ohio ; Ashley Davidson of Canton, Ohio, Lorian Thompson of New Rochelle, New York; Rachelle Thompson of New Rochelle New York; great-granddaughter Gabriella Pryor of Canton, Ohio.
