Tim Lindsey

June 18, 1957 — May 17, 2026

Tim Lindsey, age 68, of Hartville went home to be with the Lord May 17, 2026 after a long battle with pulmonary fibrosis. He was born in Canton on June 18, 1957, to Herbert and Louise (Freeland) Lindsey and is a graduate of Oakwood High School. Tim spent over 38 years of his career working for Republic Steel and he was known for his strong work ethic throughout his life. An avid Browns fan since he was 6 years old, Tim was always the optimist and was looking forward to a brighter Browns future. Tim loved the outdoors and was known for his great sense of humor which brought much laughter to those around him. One of the most important aspects of his life was his relationship with the Lord and he attended Evermore Community Church in Hartville for over 10 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings MSTR SGT. Gene Lindsey, Dan Lindsey, Linda Mottice.

Tim is survived by his wife Ida Lindsey; children Nicole (Johnny) Bowman and Danielle (Anthony) Jakupca; grandchildren Greyson, Chy’Anna, and Myles Bowman and Riley Jakupca; siblings Mike (Pat) Lindsey, Alan Lindsey, Don Lindsey, Rose (Van) Bricker, and Annette Lindsey and special sister-in-law Darlene Lindsey.

The family would like to thank Advantage Hospice & Mercy Hospice for the care and compassion they showed Tim during the last several months. They took such great measures to keep Tim comfortable and well cared for.

Calling hours will be Thursday, May 21 from 10 AM – 12 PM at Evermore Community Church. Funeral services will begin at 12 PM in the Church with Pastor Ross Miller officiating. Final resting place is Northlawn Cemetery in Canton.
