Tim Borden, age 66, of Canton, Ohio passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2013, at Cleveland Clinic, following a brief illness. Tim was born March 22, 1947 in Canton to the late Robert and Kathryn Borden. A 1965 graduate of Lincoln High School, he served his country in the Air Force until 1970. He attended and graduated from Ashland University where he played football for the Eagles and continued to support the University. Fondly known as "Papa", Tim's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, all his nieces and nephews, and neighborhood families. Survivors include his wife, Donna Jean "Jeanie" Borden, son and daughter-in-law Tim and Jen Borden and their sons Jack and Will, daughter and son-in-law Wendy and Dan Langley and their daughter Abby, brother and sister-in-law Tom and Holly Borden, brother Ted Borden, sister Cindy Clapper, brother Todd Borden, many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. A Memorial Service will be Monday, May 6 at 12pm at First Church of the Resurrection, 901 Tuscarawas St. E, Canton, Ohio 44707 with Rev. Dr. Bruce Mont officiating. The family will receive guests following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Stark County, 2800 Leemont Ave. NW, Canton OH, 44709 or a charity of choice.
