Thomas S. Thompson, age 82 of Hartville passed away Saturday November 1, 2008 in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. Born in Akron on September 16, 1926 to the late Benjamin and Alice (Mudd) Thompson, Tom was a Randolph High School Graduate and WW II Army Veteran. He worked for Standard Oil for 22 years then was a long distance truck driver until retiring in 1985. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and especially enjoyed farming. Survived by his wife Lucille with whom he would have celebrate 62 years of marriage on November 28th; Grace Ann Hoffman of Hartville, Linda (Dewey) Robenstine of Louisville, Larry (Debbie) Thompson of Hartville; grandchildren Michelle (Pat) Moore, Brent (Shelly) Thompson, Cory Thompson and Julie (Izaak) Kent; great-grandchildren Taylor, Amanda, Aimee, Hayley, Hayden and Ethan; sisters Jane (Leonard) Winland of Rootstown, Jackie Sines of Ellet; and brother Bernard (Ruth) Thompson of Tallmadge. Preceded in death by granddaughter Kristi Robenstine, brother Benjamin and son-in-law Bob Hoffman. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday 11 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Edward Wieczorek celebrant. Final resting place is the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Heart Assoc., 4916 Hills & Dales Rd., Canton, OH 44708.
