Thomas Gene Hartman, age 61, of Antioch, Tennessee, died July 6, 2006. Thomas was born in Canton to the late Walter and Mary (Gambone) Hartman. A Glenwood High graduate (1962), Thomas also graduated Walsh College and was an Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. Thomas worked as a senior analyst with Firestone in Akron until 1992, moving to Nashville to Bridgestone-Firestone until his retirement. Pre-deceased by sisters: June Indorf, Mary Jane Klingaman, and Patricia Self, survivors include his son Timothy of Virginia Beach, sisters : Mrs. Howard (Marjorie) Boeshart of N. Canton, Mrs. James (Nancy) Hill of Bolivar, Mrs. Jack (Edie) Rybkoski of Uniontown, brother Walter (Arlene) Hartman of North Canton, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, and special friend Rita Battista. A memorial service will be held Friday 1:00 P.M. at the Spiker-Foster-SHRIVER Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Fr. Thomas Bishop officiating. A private interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Friday.
