Thomas N. Capps Sr., age 72 of Hartville passed away Saturday, January 17, 2009. He was born July 24, 1936 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to the late Marvin Edward and Hilda Elizabeth (Palmer) Capps. After attending High School at Ellet, he served in the U.S. Army and then the U.S. Coast Guard. He received his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Akron and worked for Monsanto, NSD and Enprotech. Tom loved boating, amateur radio and electronics. Most of all he loved his family, but especially his grandkids. Survived by his wife of 50 years Nancy (Burns); children Tom Jr. (Diane) Capps of TN, Tracey (Dan) Spickard of TN, Tammy Van Keulen of Hartville and Douglas Van Keulen of Canton, Terri (Mike) Reeves of NC and Tanya (Dan) Anderson; grandchildren Timothy, Shaun, Ryan, Matthew, Jessica, Justin, Bethany, Shannah, Josiah, Janna, Jenna, Noah, Jordan and Alyssa; siblings including special brother Marvin Jr. (Lou) Capps of Green. A private family service is scheduled. Final resting place is Hillside Memorial Gardens. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Altercare of Hartville for their compassion and care.
