T. David Bartchy, age 84, of Canton, died Sunday in Compassionate Care after an extended illness. Born in Canton to the late Earl V. and Minnie (Goodman) Bartchy he was a life resident. David was the former owner of the Dunlap-DuPont Insurance Agency. An Army Veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, long time participant of the Hall of Fame Luncheon Club, and was past president and a member of the Bonsai Society. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister Ruthann Mosely, brother, Richard and a grandson: Eric Murphy. Survivors include his wife of 59 years: Nancy A. (Snuggs) Bartchy. Three daughters: Susan (John) Effinger of East Canton, Julie (Dan) Plott of Canton and Beth (Jim) Hoffman of Shelby, OH. Seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren, sister: Barbara (William) Fisher.Funeral service will be Wednesday 1:00 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Rev. Andrew Taylor Peck officiating. Interment with military services will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday (TODAY) from 6 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Aultman Hospice 2821 Woodlawn Ave., N.W. Canton, OH 44708.
