Ted J. Davis, age 81, of North Canton passed away peacefully in his residence on Saturday morning. Born in Scranton, PA to the late Ted and Ann (Burkhart) Davis he had resided here since 1952. Ted was a graduate of Traphagen School of Design in New York City. An accomplished fine art photographer for the past 26 years, and professional interior designer for the past 61 years, he was president of Ted J. Davis, Inc, an interior design firm he founded in 1959. Ted has included his imagery in many of his design client's interiors. He was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, and was a Navy Veteran of WW II. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jean A. Davis in 2009, and by a sister Judy Vitale. Survivors include his son: Scott W. Davis of the residence. Brother: Jay (Bea) Burkhart of New York. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday May 27, 2010 in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Rev. Douglas A. Patton officiating. Entombment will be in the North Lawn Mausoleum. Friends may call on Wednesday from 7 to 9 PM.
