Obituary

Ted Adamski, age 91, of Canton, passed away Friday evening. Born in Kimball, WV to the late Stanley and Helen (Holovenski) Adamski. Ted was a World War II Army Veteran serving in the 505th Parachute Infantry, 82nd Airborne Division. He performed duties in the European Theatre of operation, made four combat jumps into enemy held territory including Normandy and participated in the battle of the Bulge, fired the M-1, the Browning Automatic rifle, and Thompson sub machine guns. Ted participated in six major campaigns and was awarded the Purple Heart and cluster for wounds received during engagement in Italy and France. He retired from the Ford Motor Company and was also employed by Gaetano Construction Company. He attended First Baptist Church in Jackson Township. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Clara and son, George. Ted is survived by a daughter, Minnie (Carl) Brewer. 9 grandchildren: Daniel, Joel, Johnathan, Steven, Brandi, Nicole, Joy, Sean and Carl Jr. Two very special great-grandchildren that he helped raise, Brandon and Samantha, as well as numerous other great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St. W. Friends may call on Tuesday, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment with Military Honors will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Please sign the guest book.
