Sylvia (Slabaugh) Troyer, age 89, of Hartville went to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 1, 2018. She was born April 2, 1929 in Middlefield, Ohio to the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Yoder) Slabaugh. She was a homemaker and will be remembered by her hospitality. She was a long time member of Maple Grove Mennonite Church. A special thanks to the Walnut Hills Retirement Community and Ohio Hospice Life Care for their kindness and loving care.

Sylvia is survived by her children Clara (Leroy) Sommers, Raymond (Marty), Viola (Rob) Wittmer, Andrew (Ruth), Marcus (Phoebe), Donnie (Brenda), 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Preceded in death by her husband Andy E. Troyer, siblings John Slabaugh and Clara Miller.

Calling hours are Tuesday December 4, 6-8:00 pm at Maple Grove Mennonite Church. Funeral services are Wednesday December 5, at 2:00 pm with Pastor Verle Brubaker officiating. Final resting place in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Maple Grove Mennonite Church.
