Sydney Greenberg, 96, died Thursday January 18, 2007 at Fransiscan Care Center of Sylvania. Mr. Greenberg, a native of London, England, immigrated in 1958, living in Cleveland and Los Angeles before moving to Canton in 1981. He had resided in Toledo nursing homes since 2001. He was a presser in the ladies garment industry in England. In Cleveland, he was a rent collection manager for many years before selling mens wear at Sears, where he retired in 1973. In Canton, Mr. Greenberg was a member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue and the senior men's group at the Canton Jewish Community Center. Mr. Greenberg was predeceased by Eva, his beloved wife of 41 years. He is survived by his loving son, Harold of Cleveland, grandsons Daniel (Nicole) of Sylvania, and Ethan of Richmond, VA and great-granddaughters Nina and Addison. Services will be 2PM Sunday at Shaaray Torah Synagogue with Cantor Bruce Braun officiating. Interment in Canton Hebrew Cemetery. Family will receive well-wishers 7-9 p.m., Sunday, at 7774 Angel Dr. NW, North Canton, and in Cleveland 7-9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday.
