Sydna Laurena Russell, age 93, of North Canton, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday evening at her daughter's home. Born in Middlebranch, Ohio to the late James & Orpha (Werner) Hennessey, she was a graduate of Middlebranch High School. Sydna had worked for the Timken Company for twenty years and at Halle's Department Store. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ and Delta Chapter 531, Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents Sydna is preceded in death by her husband Robert of 52 years, son, Marc David Russell, sisters, Virginia Bender and Miriam Debro. Sydna was the loving mother of son, Robert (Laura) Russell of Greentown & daughter, Michelle (Michael) Conkle of Massillon. Grandchildren: Amanda & Jonathan Conkle and Tami (Matt) Roberts, great-grandchildren Addison & Benjamin, sister, Frances (Al) McManis, a nephew and many nieces also survive. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday in Trinity United Church of Christ with Rev. Lynn Bozich Shetzer officiating. Interment in Henry Warstler Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. in Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW and one hour prior to the service in church on Monday. There will be an Order of the Eastern Star Service at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity United Church of Christ 3909 Blackburn Road NW, Canton, OH 44718.
