Susan Miller, age 97, of Uniontown went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday February 26, 2013. She was born on May 31, 1915 in Lake Township, Ohio to the late Samuel B. and Dinah (Kurtz) Frey and raised in Plain City. She lived in the Uniontown area since 1950. She was a member of Hartville Mennonite Church where she taught Sunday School, served on many committees and volunteered for the migrant ministries. She was a seamstress and did custom tailoring out of the home. Her many talents included gardening, baking and candy making, designing and stitching quilts, watercolor painting, reading and fostering many children besides raising her own. Preceded in death by her husband Jake J. Miller January 23, 2002; 5 sisters and 5 brothers; daughter-in-law Patricia Miller. She is survived by her children William Miller of North Canton, Ella Toy of Sarasota, FL, James and Marty Miller of Uniontown, Samuel and Veronica Miller of Hartville; 6 grandchildren William II, Jennifer (Paul) Wetshtein, Jacob Miller, Jimmy (Kari) Miller, Melanie Miller and Jonathan (Kristen) Miller; 7 great-grandchildren Michael and Gabriel Miller, Paulie Wetshtein, Marykate and Henry James Miller, Andrew and Aaron Miller; 2 sisters Ellen Schmitt of Sarasota and Dena Miller of Mifflinburg, PA; and other relatives and friends. The family extends a special thank-you to Susans caregivers Bonnie McClung and Margaret Miller. The family will receive friends Thursday 5-8 PM and Friday an hour prior to services (10-11AM) all at Hartville Mennonite Church. Funeral services are Friday 11 AM in the church with Pastor Ross Miller, Pastor Henry Shrock and Dr. Dave Hall officiating. Final resting place is the church cemetery.
