Obituary

Susan Ann Bair, age 74, of North Canton, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at home surrounded by family.  Susan was born in Canton, Ohio on September 24, 1947, a daughter of the late Theodore and Dorothy Henry.  Susan, a graduate of Central Catholic High School and a retired Director of the Latchkey program at Advent Lutheran Church in Hartville, spent many years writing letters to the sick and homebound for Little Flower Parish.

She will be remembered for her faithful dedication to her husband, her family and her Catholic faith.  Susan, also known to many as 'Nana', was an amazing listener who deeply loved her husband, children, grandchildren and her brothers and sisters. She enjoyed gardening a bountiful display of impatiens and geraniums in the summer, mums in the fall and hosting an Easter egg hunt, second to none, with her grandchildren in the spring.

She is survived by her husband James Bair of 51 years; her three children Christina (Neil) Bauman, Melissa Bair, and James (Teresa) Bair; 6 grandchildren, Jordan Truett, Jacob Truett, Blaine Bauman, Henry Bair, Hailey Bair, Mitchell Bair and 3 great-grandchildren; brothers Theodore (Jody Cleary) Henry and Thomas (Betsy) Henry, sisters Mary Lou (Roger) Davis, and Kathy (Edward) Biasella; brother-in-law Eugene Bair and sister-in-law Dawn Princehorn; along with many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her mother, father and sister Carolyn Henry.

The family would like to thank all those who sent cards, videos, flowers and made visits to Sue over the past year, especially Polly Moriarty her forever friend whose words of strength and encouragement meant so much to us all.

Calling hours will be Monday, November 29th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Arnold Funeral Home, Hartville. Funeral Mass with Father Chris Henyk, celebrant, will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 30th, at Little Flower Catholic Church, Varble Hall at 11 a.m. with calling hours held at 10:00 a.m. The Rite of Committal and burial is at St. Jacob's Cemetery.
