Steven Terry Sloan

1948-2017

Beloved father and husband Steven Terry (Steve) Sloan passed away Saturday, August 5, 2017. Born June 30, 1948, in Canton, Ohio, Steve was 69 years old when he lost his battle to melanoma. A lifelong resident of Canton, Steve graduated from Hoover High School in 1966 and went on to spend more than 30 years working as a computer programmer and systems analyst at the Hoover Company. Steve loved his late wife of 35 years Deborah Gibbs Sloan, his son Jeff (32), and his stepson Justin Appell (39) more than anything. He was passionate about cars, baseball, and the news. In addition to his son and stepson, Steve left behind his sister Marianne, of Long Valley, New Jersey. A celebration of Steve's life will be held Friday, September 1, 2017, 5:00 pm-7:00 pm, at the Barrel Room, 7901 Cleveland Ave NW, North Canton, Ohio. Please sign the guest book.
