Stephen Miles Wax, age 72, of North Canton, passed away Tuesday night, March 20, 2007. Born in Brooklyn, New York October 10, 1934 to the late Dr. A. Albert and Gertrude (Sheporwich) Wax, he was the beloved husband of 44 years to Sydelle, devoted father to Amy (Jim) Humphrey; beloved "Poppy" to Devin Miles and Michelle Lee Martin of Canton and Preston James and Nathaniel Ervin Humphrey of North Canton. A member of Temple Israel, Stephen retired from Boyle- Midway, Canton, in 1990. After retirement he enjoyed driving the Mitzvah- Mobile for the Canton Jewish Community Center and his presence was appreciated while he worked at the Canton Museum of Art. Steve enjoyed bowling and card playing as well as golf and fishing. Preceded in death by brother, Everett J. Wax of FL; other survivors include brother, Dr. Sandor H. (Edie) Wax of MA and FL; nieces, nephews and close cousins. Steve will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be Friday 11:00 AM in Arnold Funeral Home with Rabbi John Spitzer officiating. Final resting place is North Lawn Cemetery.
