Stanley F. Konarski, age 84 of Canton, formerly of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, passed away Friday April 6,2018, in Rose Lane Health Center in Massillon. He was born May 8, 1933, in Ambridge, Pennsylvania to Walter and Katherine (Furmankiewicz) Konarzycki. Stanley was a welder at US Steel retiring in 1982 and was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of St Stanislaus Catholic Church in Ambridge. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Jacqueline (LeDonne) Konarski; son, Stanley Konarski Jr. of Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania; daughters, Karen (James) Strauch of North Canton, Ohio, Lori (Robert) Altrudo of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Susan (Paul) Sullivan of Goodyear, Arizona; grandchildren, Nicole (Carl) Herbuth, Ashley (Ben) Tabone, Christopher Konarski, Brittnie Konarski, Kaitlyn Konarski, Alayna Konarski, Jennifer Altrudo, Robert Altrudo, Christianne Strauch, Brie (Jay) Lytle, Courtney (Jason) McLaren, Nathen (April) Sullivan; 11 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by siblings, Jerome, Robert and Richard Konarski, Alfreda Barr, Virginia Hrechum, Leona Firich, Rose Sporrer and daughter-in-law, Annette Konarski.

Following cremation, a memorial service will be held Saturday May 5, 2018, 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel at Resurrection Cemetery in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania.

The family is especially grateful and sends their heartfelt thank you for the compassionate care provided by Mercy Hospice and the nurses and aids at the 700 wing at Rose Lane Health Center. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the American Diabetes Association or the National Parkinson's Foundation.
