Stanley Greenwald age 88 of North Canton, passed away Thursday July 13, 2023. He was born December 11, 1934, in Cleveland to Bernard and Goldie (Forstein) Greenwald. Stanley was a 1952 Lehman High School Graduate and received a bachelor's degree in business administration with major sequences in life insurance and real estate from The Ohio State University in 1956. Stan was a member of Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity. He then served in the United States Army and then the United States Air Force. In 1975 he founded Greenwald Underwriting Associates which was renamed GDK & Company in 1985. Stan has been a Chartered Life Underwriter and Life Member of the Million Dollar Round Table since 1963, and a Chartered Financial Consultant since 1985. He was especially proud to be the youngest member inducted into the Mutual Benefit Hall of Fame. Stan served as the past president of Canton Association of Life Underwriters, was a noted speaker to industry, civic, and educational groups, and was involved in many causes to enrich the lives of others. Stanley was an avid photographer, skier, and golfer, having been a member of Arrowhead Country Club, Firestone Country Club and Glenmoor Country Club. He also traveled extensively with the love of his life Charlotte who was his college sweetheart. He is survived by his wife Charlotte; daughters, Robyn (David) Cutler of Akron, Laura Einstein of New York City, Jordan Greenwald (fiancé, Kim Kroh) of North Canton; grandchildren, Benjamin (Lindsey) Cutler, Rebecca, Caroline and Natalie Cutler, Peter and Hannah Einstein, Alec, Matthew, and Joseph Greenwald. Preceded in death by his parents, Bernie and Goldie and sister Carole Nusinov.

Funeral services will be held at Temple Israel, 432 30th St NW, Canton, OH 44709 on Monday, July 17, 2023, at 11:00 AM. The services will be officiated by Rabbi David Komerofsky and Rabbi John Spitzer. Interment will follow at North Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Temple Israel, Canton, Ohio on Monday following North Lawn Cemetery. Shiva will continue at the home of David and Robyn Cutler 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm on Monday July 17. Minyan at 7:00 pm.

Memorial donations may be made to the Canton Jewish Federation Family Services or Stark Community Foundation. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the dedicated and compassionate caregivers at the Windsor Medical Center who took wonderful care of Stan.
