Sondra Joy Esporite, age 88, passed away peacefully on October 4th at Windsor Medical Center in North Canton.
Born on November 7, 1937, in Canton,Ohio, Sondra’s greatest focus in life was her family, whom she loved dearly. She grew up with a passion for helping others. After graduating from Alliance High School, she attended and graduated from Aultman College of Nursing. She spent the next four decades helping care for her patients, with most of that time spent at Aultman Hospital.
Outside of her nursing career, Sondra was an American Kennel Club Judge and enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Dr. Bernard “Bud” Esporite. Their forty-four years of marriage brought them a lifetime of love and cherished moments. We are blessed they will be reunited in heaven.
Sondra is survived by her son, Scott Esporite and his fiancee, Beth Sumor; grandchildren,Benjamin & Kaitlyn Esporite, Landon Sumor; sisters Nancy (Armand) Lenarz of Minerva; Susan (George) Hays of Sebring; her nieces, nephews and numerous friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents (Olin and Ruth Abbuhl).
Sondra and her family would like to thank the wonderful staff members at Windsor Medical Center, Aultman Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic for all the compassionate care that she received over the years. Their dedication and kindness helped give Sondra the quality of life, comfort and compassion we all deserve.
Private family services will be held and burial will take place at Forest Hill Cemetery in Canton.
