Shirley Alecia Harley White, age 54, of Canton, went home to be with the Lord on March 13, 2009 unexpectedly. She was born November 9, 1954 in Akron to David and Jeannette Harley and recently retired from General Motors in North Olmstead. She loved to sing and entertain. She held her family close in her heart especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons Michael Harley of Mississippi and Brandon White of Canton; grandson Logan Sheppard; granddaughter Jasmine Mann; father David Harley of Akron; siblings Rita Harley of Columbus, Constance Williams of Texas, David Harley of California, Marilyn (Mark) Wade of Solon, Victoria (Vaiala) Morris of Dover; goddaughter Cetera Lee of Canton; step-daughters Milicent White and Angela Sommerville of Maryland; and a host of other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by husband Melvin White. Friends may call Saturday 2-4 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home, Canton. Funeral services will be held Sat. 4 PM in the funeral home.
