Shirley Rae Patton, age 80 of North Canton, passed away Saturday, October 31, 2015 in Aultman Hospital. She was born April 3, 1935 in Canton to Homer and Helen (Harriman) Ashley. Shirley was a 1953 Hartville High School Graduate and received her Education degree from Kent State University. She was a Kindergarten Primary teacher at Portage grade school in North Canton, was a Pharmacy Tech at Timken Mercy Hospital, worked for Dr. Robert Devies and retired from Dr. Kothari's practice. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William Patton; son, Steve Patton of North Canton. She was preceded in death by a son, Jeff Patton in 1999. Private services will be Thursday 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Marlboro Cemetery with Pastor Ed Harnish officiating.
