Shirley Miller, age 95, of Canton, passed away Monday morning, June 26, 2006. Shirley was born January 18, 1911 in Wlodada, Poland to Samuel and Ida Ekus. Mrs. Miller was a member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue, Hadassah and was an avid bridge player. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam in 1984 who with his brother Phil operated Miller Sales. Her son Harley Miller, sister, Gennie Cummings and brother Hymie Ekus also preceded her in death. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Robert and Donna Miller of Oakton, VA.; grandchildren, Terri (David) Stier, Todd (Marci) Miller, Jamie (Felica) Miller and great grandchildren, Emily Stier, Eli and Ari Miller, Erin and Hilary Miller. Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in Canton Hebrew Cemetery with Rabbi John Spitzer and Cantor Bruce Braun officiating.
