Shirley M. Graves, age 82, of Canton passed away Monday evening in her residence. Born in Bedford, OH to the late William and Doris (Allen) Frederick she resided here most of her life. Shirley was retired from Montgomery Wards, was a member of Canton Ladies Elk's, VFW Ladies Auxiliary, and the Midwest Railway Preservation Society. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Kiefer and a brother Richard. Survivors include her husband of 65 years Emil E. Graves. Three daughters: Joan (Rev. Dr. Stan ) Anderson of Carrollton, Lynn (Thomas) Sells of Canton, Patricia (Rick) Halda of N. Canton. Son: Jon Allan Graves of Lakewood, OH. Six grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. A private service will be on Friday with interment in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to the Humane Society of Stark County 5100 Peach St., N.E.
