Shirley M. Bolender, age 86, of Canton, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away at her residence and reunited with her Lord on Thursday, February 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Jack I. Bolender, Sr. on February 2, 2006; parents, Gilbert and Edith Fultz; infant daughter, Nancy E Saccucci; brother, William G. Fultz and sister, Marjorie Kreitner. Shirley is survived by her loving children, Michael S. (Paula) Saccucci, Danny W. (Twila) Saccucci, Debra K. Saccucci, Brenda A. (David) Knepper and Marcelle (Mike) Rabago; siblings, Martin Fultz, Ronald Fultz, Katherine Munas and Norma Spillios; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. The family would like to thank everyone who helped care for her over the last several years; we deeply appreciate all of your kindness and support. We give a special thank you to Dr. Linda Brashear, M.D. (Formerly of VPA); you were not only her doctor you were a dear friend! We also thank Heather Gotschall NP of VPA; Ann Sharp of Direction Home Akron/Canton Area Agency on Aging, for all your kindness, love and support; Charlotte Bushy and the staff of Mercy Hospice for always being so understanding in our time of sorrow. Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Avenue N.W. with Pastor Rebecca Swartz officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
