Scott Slaybaugh, age 54, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord on Monday May 3, 2010. He was born in Canton, Ohio on March 23, 1956, attended Lake and moved to Arkansas when he was a junior. An outstanding athlete, he enjoyed all sports and coaching kids in the Lake Community for several decades. Baptized in his youth, Scott rededicated his life to Christ at the onset of his courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He was a loving husband and father. Survived by his wife Yvonne of 34 years; children Shannon and Cory Slaybaugh; mother Joyce Stevens; siblings Sue Stevens, Sandra McIntyre, Pastor Stan (Kathy) Slabaugh, Shelley (Pastor Marty) Hughes; siblings-in-law Ron (Jenise) Bender, Patty (John) Thompson; and numerous other relatives and friends. Preceded in death by his father Robert Slabaugh. To celebrate Scott's life a memorial service will be held on Thursday 4 PM at Hartville Mennonite Church with Pastor Stan Slabaugh and Pastor Ross Miller officiating.
