Sara R. Levin Sara R. Levin of Canton, Ohio passed away Tuesday evening February 21, 2006 in Aultman Hospital after an extended illness. Born in Canton, Ohio to the late Sadie (Cohen) and Nathan Levin, Sara, who was one of nine children, was a lifelong resident of Canton and a graduate of McKinley High School. Retired from the former Rapport's and Kobacker's, Sara, who had no children, was a caretaker of many people throughout her life. With her unconditional love she gave to others, her caring attitude and warm heart will never go unforgotten. Her favorite hobbies were to solve the Jumble game and work puzzles in the newspaper, latchwork, as well as watching television game shows. Sara was a lifelong member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue. In addition to her parents, Sara was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Raffel as well as three brothers, Samuel, Edgar and Alfred Levin. Sara leaves to cherish her memory her loving family and is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Edward (Margaret) Mirman and Mrs. Blanche (Herman) Gilbert both of Akron, Ohio and Mrs. Betty (Herbert) Freed of Canton and one brother, David (Shirley) Levin of Boynton Beach, FL. Also, special niece and nephews residing locally, Mrs. Ilene (William) Manheim, Marc Manheim and Nelson Freed among many other nieces, nephews and cousins and special friend, Fran Ison. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 11 a.m. at Arnold Funeral Home with Cantor Bruce Braun of Shaaray Torah Synagogue officiating. Interment will follow at the Canton Hebrew Cemetery. The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to Dr. Radha Podugu and the 3rd floor nurses at Aultman Hospital for their wonderful efforts.
