Obituary

Sara Jane (Moore) Cook Heart of a lion, Hand of an Angel Burning the candle at both ends? Well that's a slow day for this worldly woman my darlings. Sara Jane didn't just live her life she ran it! This jet setting gal seamlessly packed up an entire house, her three children, various pets & whisked them all over the world following her regal & handsome Air Force man. Though Sara Jane had no pennies from heaven, she certainly was stately-The Cooks always looked straight from Fifth Avenue, not a hair out of place or a scuff on a shoe. Sara Jane ran the tightest of tight ships-the family dog not even dare step onto the carpet. Once the grandchildren arrived Sara Jane morphed into "Granny", a being foreign to her own kids. One who would encourage raucous, messes and amazingly unforgettable memories for her grand and great-grandchildren. Sara Jane certainly fought the good fight; she loved everyone as fiercely as she lived her life. In her memory we can only hope to find and grow within ourselves what Sara Jane saw in us, the gift that makes each of us special, not notoriety or intellect, but the sublime mystery and extraordinary beauty of the simple human heart. Our hearts may be heavy, but our chins are up, Sara Jane passed away Oct. 7, 2015. Proceeded in death by James W. Cook Sr. (Husband), Jim Otto (Fiancé), Roberta Jane Martin (Daughter), William & Lela Moore (Parents), Bob & Ruth Moore (Brother), Don & Karen Moore (Brother), Faye & Bill Staugh (Sister), Bev & Glen Sweitzer (Sister). One firm request directly from the queen herself "No tears, don't cry for me-unless those tears are squeezing out through laughter" Sara has lovingly donated her body for medical research.
