In Loving Memory of Sara M. Abel

Sara M. Abel of North Canton, Ohio, passed away on October 15, 2026, leaving behind cherished memories and countless people whose lives were touched by her beautiful spirit.

A graduate of Hoover High School in 2006. Sara attended Stark State University and graduated with an Associate's degree in Psychology. She worked for several years at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, where she shared her warmth and personality with those around her.

Sara was a light to everyone she encountered. She had a special way of bringing joy into a room and making every moment brighter. She loved dressing up for every holiday, embracing each occasion with enthusiasm and her own unique flair. Whether celebrating a holiday, spending time with loved ones,or hanging with the girls, Sara knew how to create memories that would last a lifetime.

One of the most remarkable aspects of Sara’s life was the strength and grace she showed while battling stage 4 breast cancer. Even during such a difficult journey, she maintained an amazing attitude and continued to inspire those around her. Her courage, positivity, and ability to bring light to others reflected the extraordinary person she was.

Sara will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her love of fun, her strength and positivity, and the joy she brought into the lives of so many. She made life more colorful, celebrations more joyful, and time spent together more meaningful. Though her time here was far too short, the love, laughter, and memories she leaves behind will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Sara was preceded in death by her mother, Susan Colopy. She is survived by her father, Robert Abel; her aunts, uncles, and cousins; and all those who were fortunate enough to know and love her. Sara is also leaving behind her beloved fur babies Brantley, Coco, Kitty Soft Paws, and Dodge.

In honor of Sara and the joy she brought into the world, a Celebration of Life will be held on November 8, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at The Barrel Room in North Canton, Ohio.

May Sara be remembered not only for the battles she faced, but for the life she lived, the laughter she shared, the holidays she made brighter, and the light she left in every heart she touched.

Sara’s light will never stop shining in the lives of those who loved her.
