Obituary

Sandra Jones Myers, age 65, of Hartville, went to be with the Lord Saturday January 9, 2010 in Bradenton, Florida. She was born October 17, 1944 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Dallas Jr. and Thelma Sells. She graduated from Franklin College in Indiana with a double major in English and Journalism. While in college she was the editor of the yearbook and since college has remained an active member of Delta, Delta, Delta Sorority. She was named in America's Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. She spent 14 years as Children's Librarian at the Stark County District Library as she loved children especially her grandchildren. Sandy loved God with all her heart. She also enjoyed Reading (Big Time!), NASCAR, "RV-ing" and she belonged to the Buckeye Cruisers R.V. Club. She attended Celebration Worship Center in Hartville and St. John's Methodist Church in Florida. She volunteered for Habitat For Humanity. Survived by her companion, Bill Myers Jr.; her children Lyn (Rich) Milliman of CT, Matthew (Robbie) Hamilton of NY, Amy (Erin Lewellen) Jones of CA, Ben Dallas Jones of Canton; her grandchildren Grace and Lola Milliman, Casey Hamilton; Bill's children Diane Myers of Minerva, Anna (Larry) Smith of Canton, Terri (John) Rankin of North Canton, Bill III (Sherry) Myers and David Myers all of Hartville; Bill's 17 Grandchildren and 15 Great-grandchildren; and Sandy's siblings, Larry (Stephanie) Sells of OK, Mary Ann (Dave) Clippinger of MD, Dallas (Aileen) Sells of Cleveland; as well as many other relatives and friends. Calling hours are Saturday June 19 from 10 a.m. - 12 noon with services beginning at 12 noon officiated by Pastor Stu King, all at Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Celebration Worship Center and Make A Wish Foundation. Directly from notes written by Sandy, a thank-you goes to William E. Myers Jr. for being her companion for 18 years. She wrote, "He stayed with me through sickness and through health.
