Samuel P. Schrock, age 80, of Hartville, entered peacefully into his eternal home Thursday December 16, 2021. He was born on October 16, 1941 in Hartville to the late Peter H. and Mattie (Weaver) Schrock.

Sam attended the One Room School House on King Church which became his Dad's woodworking shop, later becoming the Lake Historical Society. Growing up Sam enjoyed woodworking along side of his dad making handcrafted furniture. He retired in 2008 from Wagler Homes.

Sam was preceded in death by his first wife Laura Wagler and one grandson Michael Dean Schrock. He is survived by his 6 children with Laura: Sharon (Paul) Schrock, Treva (Galen) Slabaugh, Donna Jones, Larry (Cathy) Schrock, Joy Kern, Jamie Schrock; his wife of 17 years Mary Jane (Wengerd) Schrock; Mary Jane's daughter Bernita (Sam) Beachy; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Sam loved and had a concern for his family and prayed for them by name everyday. He attended Springfield Fellowship Church in Akron for the past 4 years.

Calling hours are Tuesday 5-8 PM at Bethany Mennonite Church (with social distancing). Funeral services are Wednesday 10 AM at Bethany Mennonite Church with Pastor John Burton officiating. The funeral will be live streamed at arnoldfuneralhomes facebook. Final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Aid Ministries.
