Samuel "Sam" James Leo passed away peacefully on March 4th, 2025, in Naples, Florida.  Sam was a devoted husband, a loving father, a proud grandfather and a loyal friend whose greatest joy was spending time with those he loved.

Sam was born on February 8, 1939, in Canton, OH to Ralph and Angela Leo.  He was raised alongside his siblings, Angela Newhouser (Randy), Raymond Leo (Florence), Ralph Leo (Beverly) who along with his parents preceded him in death.  The baby of the family, James Leo (Janine) is Sam's surviving sibling.  Sam graduated from Timken High School.

He married Karen Burkey in August 1968 knowing she would be the perfect partner in life.  Sam and Karen shared 35 years together when Karen preceded him in death in September 2003.

In later years, Sam was fortunate to find companionship and happiness again with his dear partner, Pauline Hausz who brought warmth and laughter into his life.

He was a loving and dedicated father to his daughters, Lisa (John McAllister) and Julie (John Weber), teaching them the values of hard work, integrity, and the importance of family.  He was a devoted grandfather to Andrew, Anna, Sophia and Tess.  His greatest legacy is the love & humor he instilled in his family, which will carry on for generations.

Sam will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday March 29th from 10-11:30am followed by a committal service by Pastor Angel Jackson at Arnold Funeral Home 1517 Market Ave N., Canton, Ohio procession to internment of ashes at North Canton Cemetary service will follow immediately.
