Samuel Keith, age 76, of Uniontown, passed away unexpectedly on April 8, 2026. He was born on August 3, 1949, in Ft. Walton Beach, FL on the Eglin Air Force Base and spent his childhood moving across the country as an Air Force child. He has fond memories of growing up in Florida and Texas and enjoyed his time in both states. Around the age of 14, Sam and his family moved to home to Northeast Ohio where he lived out the remainder of his life. Sam was known for his kind soul and dedication to others. He spent most of his career as a Licensed Independent Social Worker, he was proud of his education and ability to speak up for those who needed help. Sam was a deep thinker and was rather introspective with his thoughts. He loved his pets, especially his childhood dog, Snuffy as well as Max, Ruby, and currently Liam the corgi and Louis the cat. As a Vietnam War Veteran, Sam made many deep friendships through a Vietnam Veterans Group. Sam had a strong lifetime faith and was a believer in Jesus Christ, he was a member of The Church of the Nativity in Green for many years. Sam and his wife also attended Hartville Wesleyan Methodist Church and they would like to thank them for their love and support for the past 15 years.
Sam was fortunate to meet the love of his life, Atty Kathaleen O'Brien, in 2008. He cherished their time together and for the past 16 years, the two of them were rarely apart.
Sam's family would like to thank the Akron and Cleveland Departments of Veteran's Affairs for their care during his time of need. Including Dr. Vinkat, Dr. Singh, Dr. Porubovich-Mizenko, and Olga Dolgova.
