Sally S. (Shaheen) Michael, age 80, passed away on Friday May 1, 2015 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Canton on November 1, 1934 to the late Ayub and Skundara Shaheen and graduated from McKinley High School in 1952. She worked for Atty. John Sponseller, Atty. George Aman and Black, McCuskey, Souer's and Arbaugh Law Firm. She was a lifetime member of St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church of Canton where she was a member of Ladies of St. George, Crusaders, and Phoenician Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, George Michael; son Nicholas Michael; daughter Andria Michael; grandchildren Alex and Mareena "Dee" Michael; step-grandchildren Andrew and Amber Shoemaker; sister-in-law Donna Shaheen; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister Delores "Dee" Shaheen; brother George Ayub Shaheen; parents-in-law Louis and Mareena Michael; daughter-in-law Ronda Michael; siblings-in-law Kaiser and Amelia Michael, Tillie and William Helaney. Calling hours are Sunday 5-8 PM at Arnold Funeral Home and an hour prior to services Monday in the church (10-11 AM). Trisagion Services will be Sun day at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. Funeral services will be Monday 11 AM at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church with Rev. Fr. Michael Corbin, Rev. Fr. Basil Shaheen and The Very Rev. Fr. Joseph Cervo officiating.
