Sally Ann Ailstock, 85, of North Canton Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2023, surrounded by loved ones.   She was born in Charleston, West Virginia on March 28, 1938 to George Litsinger and Mildred (Keffer) Litsinger. She was preceded in death by her high school sweetheart and husband of 55 years, Roy B. Ailstock, Jr., and her sister Nancy (Litsinger) Atherton of Landrum, South Carolina.

Sally was a Girl Scout, a majorette, and an honor student in the Stonewall Jackson High School Class of 1956 and was a member of the Phi Pi Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.   Before devoting her life to her family, she served as the private secretary to Hugh G. Thompson for six years, the top Northwestern Life insurance agent in the country.

Known to close friends as "SallyBob", Sally enjoyed playing tennis, getting together with "the lunch bunch," playing bridge, planning trips with close friends, and serving at her church of 30 years, Faith United Methodist Church in North Canton as an offering counter, on the Altar Guild, and as a wedding coordinator. She and Roy were active in the U-R Welcome fellowship group for many years.  Sally especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, cooking big breakfasts, attending their events, and taking many photos to savor the memories.

She is survived by her children Scott (Sharon) Ailstock, Mark Ailstock, and Laura (Alan) Coverstone and her beloved grandchildren Lindsay, Mitchell, and Mason.  Sally was blessed with a large family with many beloved cousins, aunts, uncles, and in-laws.

Receiving of friends and family will be Friday at 10:30 AM until noon at Faith United Methodist Church, 300 Ninth Street NW, North Canton, Ohio 44720.  A memorial service will take place at 12:00 noon at the church with Pastor Thomas Kalb officiating.  A private, family internment in the church columbarium will take place later that afternoon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Faith United Methodist Church.
