Ruth A. Waddell went home to be with the Lord on July 12, 2006. Her husband of 41 years, Lorain E. Waddell preceded her in death, as did her daughter Dolores Clapper. She has left behind four daughters and two sons: Donna Roberson of Santa Fe, TX, Richard (Jane) Waddell of Murray, KY, Mrs. Dave (Joan) Travis of Alliance, OH, Harold Waddell of Canton, Linda Vieira of Canton, OH, Mrs. Frank (Patricia) Cottrell of Canton. Also 22 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Sister: Lillian Sibila of Canton and 2 nieces and 4 nephews. Ruth was born on April 24, 1919 in Canton, OH. Besides being a loving wife and mother she did volunteer work at Meals on Wheels for 20 years. She was a member of both the YWCA and YMCA and also the Northeast Community Center. She taught Sunday School at the Church of the Brethren on Maple Avenue for several years. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. Funeral service will be Saturday 2:30 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Minister Manley C. Pierce officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery.
