Ruth Darlene Lilenfield, age 78, of Canton, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center. Darlene was born on October 2, 1934 in Gorin, Missouri to the late Bill and Alta (Gibbs) Peterson. Member of Temple Israel. She graduated from Truman University with a Masters in Education. She was a member of the Ohio Music Teachers Association and taught piano in her home. Darlene was an avid gardener and member of the McDowell Club. Survived by her loving husband Dr. Irwin Lilenfield with whom they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary; daughters and son-in-law Amy Lilenfield of Canton; Dena and Barclay Miller of Dacula, GA; grandchildren, Samantha and Meredith Lilenfiled and Jaret and Evan Miller; and loving steward of Ollie and Stan. Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton with Rabbi John Spitzer officiating. Interment in North Lawn Cemetery.
