Ruth Virginia Galbraith, age 90 of Canton, died Monday, June 16, 2014. Virginia was born August 18, 1923, in Houston Texas to Clarence Arthur and Allene Jenkins (Curry) Cole. She spent most of her life in the Sag Harbor, NY area until moving to Canton in 1993 to be with her son and daughter-in-law. Mrs. Galbraith was an accomplished artist and animal lover. She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton Stuart Galbraith Jr., whom she married on June 17, 1951. Survivors include sons, Stephen (Patty) Galbraith of Canton, Wayne Galbraith of East Hampton, NY; step son Doug (Ellen) Galbraith of East Setauket, NY and grandchildren, Devin and Ryan Galbraith. Friends may call Thursday, June 19, from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home 1517 Market Ave. N. with funeral services starting at 7:00 p.m.. Private interment will be in Henry Warstler Cemetery on Friday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to the Red Cross.
