Ruth E. Barrick, age 85, of Canton, died Thursday morning in the Canton Christian Home after a brief illness. Born in Carroll County, OH to the late Ronald and Elsie (Cairns) Tripp she had resided here since 1941. Ruth was a registered nurse and a homemaker. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Chapter # 190, O.E.S. and was active with the garden center, and was certified as a flower judge for the State of Ohio and judged at various flowers shows. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: Kenneth Barrick in 1986, infant daughter: Susan, brother: Wayne Tripp and daughter-in-law: Lynn Barrick. Survivors include two sons: Richard L. (Elaine) Barrick and James L. Barrick both of Cincinnati, OH. Two granddaughters: Laura and Christine. Sister: Mrs. Orlo (Anna Mae) German of Magnolia, OH. Funeral service will be Monday 10:30 A.M. in Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Darlene Grega officiating. Interment will be in Zion Cemetery; Sherrodsville, OH. Friends may call on Sunday from 12 to 2:30 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St.,W.
