Roy S. Tolbert, Jr. age 65 of Canton died Saturday afternoon in his residence after a year long battle with lung cancer. Born in Canton Roy was the retired owner of Alliance Music after 27 years. He was a member of Canton Elk's Lodge # 68 where he was secretary of the golf league. He coached Holly Hills Little League and Hot Stove for many years. An avid golfer, fisherman and musician,Roy was a loving husband, father grandfather and brother and friend. Survivors include his wife of 42 years Jackie of the residence. Daughter: Valerie Tolbert and Son: Roy S. Tolbert, III both of Canton. 3 grandchildren: Zane, Mason and Landon. Two sisters: Mrs. Tom (Sue) Lyon and Mrs. Alex (Dorothy) Wasil both of Canton. Brother: Bill (Mary) Tolbert of Marlboro, Township. Funeral service will be Tuesday 11:00 A.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. with Pastor David Ryan officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
